WellBN/Quays ADHD Pathway
ADHD & Autism Assessment & Diagnosis Service (Adults only)
At WellBN, we provide an NHS service for adults seeking assessment for ADHD. Our aim is to offer a thorough, supportive, and timely pathway so you understand your options and can access care that fits your needs.
Who the service is for:
- Adults experiencing attention, focus, or hyperactivity difficulties (possible ADHD)
- Adults experiencing challenges with social interaction, routine, or sensory processing (possible ASC)
- Adults who may have both ADHD and ASC (AuDHD)
What we offer:
- Initial NHS assessment and review within 3 months of referral
- Screening questionnaires to guide assessment (ASRS for ADHD, AQ10/AQ50 for ASC)
- Clear information about NHS referral options and the Right to Choose (RTC) pathway for ASC
- Guidance on next steps, including formal diagnosis and management plans
How to request a referral:
1. GP initiated referral:
Ask one of our senior clinicians to refer you to the ADHD/ASC service. We will discuss your symptoms, complete screening questionnaires, and submit a referral.
2. Patient-initiated referral:
You can request an assessment
- via our reception
- by filling out an AccuRx form
- by filling out an ADHD Referral form (preferred)
Once questionnaires are returned, our clinicians review your answers and guide the next steps.
What happens after referral:
Our team will contact you to arrange a review. We are working with Right To Choose Company Quays Healthcare. Your assessment will be carried out face to face or virtually by one ofour WellBN clinicians.
You do not need to be registered with WellBN to apply for a WellBN/Quays ADHD diagnosis, but you must live in Sussex.
If you are not registered with WellBN then all your assessments, results, and discussions are shared with your GP for coordinated care.
Important information:
NHS ADHD/ASC assessments can have waiting times of 7–9 months.
WellBN pathway offers a faster initial review (currently upto 3 months) with clear guidance on next steps.
