Francis Richardsback

MBBS (Lond), MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH, DipDM

In 1996 I qualified as a doctor from King's College London. Subsequently I worked in and around London for the following 14 years including 10 years within areas of London's deprived inner city when I became a GP in 2001.

After nearly 20 years in London I decided a change of environment was required to experience work and life outside of the big city, and I was given an opportunity to work at a practice in central Brighton in 2010. I then joined the Brighton Health and Wellbeing Centre in July 2013.

I have interests in chronic disease, elderly care, diabetes, family planning and sexual health, and I perform some joint injections. The variety of conditions and their presentations within general practice, as well as being involved with teaching medical students at Brighton & Sussex Medical School, helps to keep me on my toes.

Additionally I manage clinical aspects of the practice computer system with aims to improve access, quality of care, and aspects of clinical governance or safety. Outside of medicine I have interests in cooking, meteorology, the natural environment and gardening.
