Managing Assistant

We are looking for a Manager’s Assistant to join our GP Practice and work alongside our management team to deliver outstanding levels of customer service and ensure exceptional care is provided to all Patients in our network.

The contract

Contract type: Permanent; Full-time

Location: We operate from 3 sites: Brunswick and Burwash in Hove and Benfield in Portslade.

Working hours: 30 to 37.5 hpw, between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday

The role

We are looking for a well-organised individual with can-do attitude, strong communication, and problem-solving skills to provide administrative and operational support to our internal and external stakeholders.

As a Manager’s Assistant, you will be acting as a PA to the Lead Partner and the Practice Manager.

You will be also working with our clinical and non-clinical teams to support the delivery of the highest quality primary care service.

Previous primary care experience is welcome but on-the-job training will be provided to increase skills for the right candidate.

What we would like you to do

· Providing general administrative support to Heads of Departments and the Practice Manager

· Advising and assisting the practice teams on service levels of the practice

· Assisting with HR tasks, including new starter inductions, rota management, and staff training.

· Working with the teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations on all 3 sites

· Facilitate management of the premises with reference to Health and Safety, Infection Control and Suitability for purpose

· Assisting with planning campaigns for seasonal income such as flu, vaccinations, screenings, long term conditions etc.

· Facilitating and assisting claiming for activity via local commissioners and national pathways (CQRS/LCS/QOF/GPASS etc)

· Ensuring staff members have adequate equipment to fulfil their own roles.

· Facilitate meetings with the teams and PCN

· IT support for the practice (including liaising with the IT department and projects for updating software)

· Providing absence cover for the safeguarding administrator, processing and coding incoming letters and completing requests for information from 3rd parties (full training will be given).
