We run monthly group consultations for patients with ADHD. We had an exceptional speaker this week for the ADHD group session. Peter delivered an impactful presentation, demonstrating commendable courage in sharing his experiences with ADHD.
Here is some of the feedback we received:
I was deaf when I was younger, this is so interesting. Thank you for sharing your story Peter, it is very moving, and you are very inspiring.
Thatโs very interesting. I am partially deaf, my deaf journey was very traumatic too as I was accused of lying by drs
That’s so incredibly moving and interesting
I wish you could be on Channel Four doing this it’s so important and so valuable for people to understand.
Thank you for sharing your story, Peter, it’s really powerful and I took a lot from it
Really really appreciate hearing your story thank you for being here.. I am really touched by your sharing.. hahah thatโs great re: being on mazing spaces thank you Peter really grateful to see you today
I mean this is one of the most beautiful, moving stories I have ever heard, thank you Peter and Jo, we are deeply privileged ๐
Such an important conversation thank you both so much!!!
This all resonates so much – thank you for sharing.
Peter I thank you so much for this, you are an inspiration. Also you have lead me to a self-realisation. I had deafness that wasn’t diagnosed until 2 and a half, I had an operation when I was four and deafness on and off until I was 10. I was never taught sign-language. I had self-taught myself lip-reading (without knowing what it was) I had never even considered why I wasn’t taught to sign until now. I am recently diagnosed with ADHD and Autism and both have said I need speech therapy at age 42. I had no idea this connection and my head is spinning a bit.
Thank you Jo and Peter for a very humanising session, thank you all for being here it has been my first session and I feel very humbled ๐
Thank you Joanna and Peter – that was brilliant and very powerful. I do the ‘yeah’ ing in conversation a lot and have done so since I was young. Thanks for highlighting that Peter. I
Didn’t realise that was a sign of ADHD but makes sense. I got a late diagnosis last year. am now 53.
Thank you so much for all you are sharing its so hearting.
This is such a supportive group.
Thank you Peter for sharing your story and experiences so openly, and Joanna for the discussion and facilitation also-I have learnt a lot from listening to you and hearing everyone else’s thoughts and ideas also. These groups are wonderful. Thank you all x
Positive Thoughts lead to positive feelings, leading to positive behaviour.
