Social Prescribing Day (scheduled 18th of March 2021) is an event aiming to foster an attitudinal change, to shift the power to the people and local communities, to forge cross-sectoral collaboration, to promote co-design and co-creation, and to ensure social prescribing continues to grow as a grassroots movement.
West Hove is home to many innovative organisations doing great work in creativity and wellbeing. However, social prescribing is under used by GPs in the area. The Robin Hood Health Foundation and key community partners will use their £50k Thriving Communities funding to broaden social prescribing options through more varied range and content, as well as consolidate existing cross-sector programmes and amplify patient involvement.
Heidi Compton is one of our HERA Visual Artists. Heidi runs workshops for our BHWC patients and is currently running a weekly online workshop in March and April incorporating simple and fun creative projects that are great for calming the mind.
